Hello LISD Parents and Families,
As the holiday season approaches, we want to remind you how crucial school attendance is to your child’s academic success. Understandably, this time of year can be busy, but we want to urge you to remember how missed school days around the holidays can impact your child’s progress from kindergarten through high school.
We know that family time is precious and essential, but it’s important to remember that extended vacations can the send the wrong message about the importance of regular attendance.
So, please ensure your child is present until the winter break begins and returns to school on the scheduled dates. We greatly appreciate your support in this matter.
Happy Holidays!
Congratulations to 8th-grade Cub Band students Hernan Flores and Damian Gonzalez! They were 2 of only 5 total middle school students who auditioned for and earned a spot in the TMEA HIGH SCHOOL REGION 14 BAND! These students competed against high schoolers from Laredo to Corpus with high school level music on their respective instruments and attended a Clinic and concert that took place at Veteran's Memorial High School in Corpus Christi.
