L. J. Christen Middle School is proud to recognize these amazing educators as recipients of the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). Their hard work, dedication, and commitment to their students truly make a difference every day. We’re lucky to have them and grateful for the impact they make in our classrooms!

We are proud to recognize our 8th Grade Career & Technical Education (CTE) business students at Christen Middle School for their outstanding participation in the nationwide Intuit Hour of Finance™ Challenge during Financial Literacy Month!
Our campus was notified that our students earned Momentum Tier status, a distinction awarded to schools that are helping strengthen financial literacy and inspire learners across the country. This recognition reflects the dedication, curiosity, and commitment our students showed as they explored real‑world personal finance skills.
As part of this achievement, Christen Middle School will receive a celebratory banner for our hallways along with additional support materials provided through the program. Our educator will also receive an official Credly badge acknowledging this accomplishment.
Most importantly, our students gained valuable knowledge that will help them build financial confidence for the future. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and the enthusiasm they brought to this challenge.
Congratulations to our 8th Grade Career & Technical Education (CTE) business class for representing Christen Middle School and Laredo ISD with excellence and embracing learning that prepares them for life beyond the classroom.

The LISD Athletic Office hosted the Triple A awards Ceremony at the LISD PA. The ceremony honored LISD middle and high school student-athletes. The students were recognized for having perfect attendance, straight A’s and a winning attitude. Each student was presented with either a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Medal for their academic achievements.

Congratulations to Christen Middle School's Rafael Vallejo for being named LISD's April Student of the Month. The LISD Student of the Month is sponsored by Laredo Federal Credit Union, Chick-Fil-A Marketplace on Bob Bullock, and Laredo Orthodontic.

Congratulations to Mariachi Los Tigrillos de Oro JV and Varsity for earning Straight 1st division from all judges making it a Sweepstakes rating at the Segin Mariachi Festival at Seguin, Texas. Congratulations to all Mariachi students, parents and mariachi director.

Congratulations to Mariachi Los Tigrillos de Oro. Our mariachi program competed at the Robstown Cotton Picker Mariachi competition. Our Mariachi program had an amazing turn out.

Congratulations to Mariachi Los Tigrillos de Oro Varsity and JV for representing Christen Middle School at the Texas A&M Corpus Christi Mariachi Festival. Our mariachi brought the Animo and Pride of Christen Middle School to Corpus Christi Festival de la Isla.
